Club DJ San Francisco California 1979=2005 retired  Currently mixing music at home. my music spans 60 years of Dance music from disco to current, this link will take you to my mixes and music https://www.mixcloud.com/bob-tharp***] I was the third DJ of San Francisco Top 25 DJ and back in the day we didn't have computers to mix music, back then it was an art not everyone could blend two songs together that seamlessly would flow, and the transition was so prefect that you didn't know it was done until the vocals came in. my blending of music and the way I chose to play my music was unlike any other DJ, with a dance floor of 5000 there was no room for mistakes, and playing 12=14 hours takes a lot of music the goal to take the Dancers on a trip with the music, starting off slow and gradually bringing up in beat to a high energy beat and bringing it down to end of the night. Sometimes it didn't work as planed, and one night we didn't close till 10 am on a monday morning, and that night was the night that i received a complement from the dancers, three times during the night everyone on the dance floor stop turn and faced the DJ booth and applauded. the DJ booth was two stories high with a stage in front so you are looking down on the dance floor, at first i did know what was going on then every started chanting my name Little Bobby, that name was given to me by friends who ranked me to the top dj in the city Bobby Veritti Big Bobby, who was my mentor and friend. needless to say that night was a night that everything was on target and for me my proudest night ever. As for music it has the power to heal people and bring people together, i know for a fact that music can heal, many years ago i had a brain injury that left me unable to walk to talk and the progness irreversible brain damage i spent several weeks in the hospital the transfer to a care center, these idiots put me on a mental ward for a fucking head injury there I suffered the most humiliating embarrassing treatment anyone can do to anyone strap to a wheele chair forced to piss and defecate because the nurses were to busy to take me to the restroom after that my sister took me home i had my computer and found a app called PartyFM it was a program for mixing music I started mixing music forcing my brain to start working counting beats per minuet to mix by doing so and a year later i was back and even the doctor couldn't explain it and said i was one of the lucky ones so music help me recover from a diagnoses  of irreversible to a neurologist saying i cant explain it.
